Get in the Game!

"GET IN THE GAME!"

I remember hearing my dad yell that during little league games when I was a kid. He was the coach, I was a player - just like anyone else on the team. And just like most 8-10 year olds playing baseball today, I tended to day dream a little - especially out in right field (they hadn't invented lefties yet apparently).

And I still hear coaches yelling the same thing today - but not just at baseball - at soccer, football, softball, hockey, etc. It's not that the kids aren't into the game - they just aren't sometimes as competitive or into it as the coach is.

When we put this site togetheer, we decided we would focus on a number of different sports - even some as uncommon as darts, and give each sport a wide berth. Let people tell their stories about each sport or each player. As we went through some of these concepts, we realized there is quite a bit to remember about each of these sports and much of it is documented. And that people may even be interested in how much of it is documented. So, we have some memorabilia out there also.

Remember, however, this site is about all sorts of sports and all items about those sports. We have contributors who have added content here who are so deep into - say Golf - they probably would be lost on a baseball field unless a cart came and picked them up. So, look around - find something you like, comment on it and let us know how we are doing.
